Sookie Stackhouse is a telepathic waitress who lives in a small, Louisiana town that is home to humans and vampires. The invention of synthetic blood, called "True Blood", leads the vampires to no longer need to feed on humans and to the vampires revealing themselves to the humans. Relations between humans and vampires is anything but simple. Sookie is drawn into the drama by her undeniable attraction to a charming local vampire name Bill.
